Home to Home Furniture was my BFA thesis work. Living in a college town I was quickly made aware of the problem of throw-away furniture. At the end of every Spring semester as students would return home for the Summer, there was a massive purge of furniture. Furniture was discarded because it was difficult to move back and forth or because it was cheaply made and was either damaged or not worth the hassle. I looked to create furniture that was easy to put together and take apart, durable, and didn’t sacrifice looks. The result was furniture made of OSB (engineered wood) that slots together no screws, nails, or tools needed.

The chair is flat-packed in four parts that easily slot together without any glue, screws, nails, or tools needed. It can easily be stored in a closet or under the bed when it isn’t needed and will pack nicely when it’s time to move.
